k. My pal and me has -*test*-('")ed blades vs. petals. So he put a petals over himself and he asked me to attack him. So i did. Blades couldn't go trough petals. So i put blades on myself and asked him to attack me. Petals has gone trough blades and attacked me. Is it normal?

EDIT: I mean i have read that both shikais are like the same, only difference that petals are slower and more powerful. So if that is true shouldn't they both be able to go trough each other?

How can blades go through a wall of iron? They are the same in the attacking style, but there's strategy to each Zanpakuto, and the petals can be deffensive as well as offensive.
Although I find the blades to be ugly and uncool. (Not meaning the sprites, the actual zanpakuto)

Lets kinda rephrase this. How can PETALS go trough an wall of iron? And blades can be offensive and defensive.

A huge mass of iron petals ARE an iron wall! Blades are too phew to become something as massive as a wall or go through it.

And about the defensive part, I would'nt know in game, but in the show they could not survive even a "low leveled" quincy arrow...

I told u. In the game petals and blades are like same thing. Except for speed and dmg.

It has a perfectly good reason.
Mobs can be "in" the "wall" because it's as if the petal soround them like when Byakuya closed on Ichigo. However, objects, like cero and projectiles are blocked by it because it does not soround them, it simply blocks them.

I know that they can be in petals but what i mean is

From crappy ASCII art i have draw we can see that player has crossed trough "Iron wall" by ur logic it should be imposible to do that.

and by the way i dont think blades are projectiles. o.O

Seems someone doesn't understand. Let me put this simple

tiny things can pass bigger things

bigger things can't pass things that are strong in numbers(seeing as the reiatsu in the petals ARE strong enough they can block off any other oncoming reiatsu/reiatsu infected object)

And no a human can pass through those petals(aren't real petals but are made from reiatsu) and reiatsu isn't a solid object so other objects should be able to pass through it if the reiatsu isn't strong enough to kill you on contact.

Umm the petals are not pure rei, they are tiny blades that glow in pink because of light reflections.
