I believe that there should be a bar that accumilates over time by killing hollows. When the bar is full u can unleash a massive combo depending on ur zanpaktou. The damage caculation would be ur attack + ur Reiatsu. once the bar is full u can click the button resolve and ur opponent or opponents would be frozen and u know the rest. When ur fighting players stronger than u, u the bar is filled up faster, depending on how many lvls higher the player is.
Negatives: the bar takes forever to full, the most u can get from killing any kind of hollow is 5%. When u die by a hollow u lose 10%.
When u use Resolve ur reiatsu is drained by 1/2 and u lose 10% ur hp, and ur stunned for 5-10sec.

Reasoning::: The drawback is too great, it makes the attack seem far underpowered considering you practically kill yourself by using it.
Now, if the draw back was you lost 75% of your rei (since most ppl level 300+ have a good 75k or so rei) and about 10% of your life, then it wouldn't be as imbalanced...the way you had it shown made the drawback WAY too overwhelming considering most people's HP far surpasses capped reiP and attack.
